CTO requirements
This feature allows you to facilitate a community takeover of a Moonit token by updating its description and social links. If the token has graduated to Meteora, you can also update the rewards wallet and receive the LP trading fees via airlock. It typically takes 48 hours during week days to process a CTO if the following requirements are met:
Requirements
We review each request on a case by case basis. Below is a checklist of major requirements that may fast track the approval process.
Verifiable Social Media Ownership:
Documentation proving ownership of the project's social media accounts.
Messaging us on the Moonit CTO tracker handle with your new X account
Ownership of the new website
Telegram group Migration Announcement: Confirmation that the new Telegram group has been announced/pinned in the original group
Inactive Official Channels: Evidence that the current official social channels are inactive or abandoned
Misused Channels: Documentation showing the current social channels are being used for fraudulent purposes or no longer serve the community's interests (substantial evidence required)
Original Dev Wallet Holding is 0 or close to 0 : Proof that the dev wallet has no stakes/holding of the token
For Meteora bonded tokens, if you want to update the rewards wallet, that wallet needs to hold at least 5% of the supply. We can still approve the CTO if the wallet has less than 5% of the supply and the rewards will go to overall Moonit trader rewards
Prior to the final approval our team will send a secure Pay Link to make a payment of $199
Secondary Review Considerations
If none of the priority criteria are met, we will evaluate the following factors:
Community Activity Assessment: Analysis of current community engagement levels, including:
Recent conversation activity
Status of communication channels (locked, muted, or filled with automated messages)
Community Size Comparison: Evaluation of new community size relative to the original community
Quality of New Resources: Assessment of the proposed replacement X account, Telegram group, and website
Evaluation Disclaimer
All Community Takeover applications undergo rigorous case-by-case evaluation by our review team. Decisions are final and based on the comprehensive assessment of all submitted evidence and the specific circumstances of each token's ecosystem.
The approval process prioritises the long-term health of the token ecosystem and its community. Meeting some or all criteria does not guarantee approval, as additional factors may be considered during review.
Please be aware that some tokens were designed without community components beyond what was specified in their original documentation. In such instances, Community Takeover applications may not be approved.
